Carol Garboden Murray, M.Ed.
Special Announcement: Listen to Carol on BAM Radio!
When children fight, should you be a Paris peace negotiator or an Ultimate Fighting Challenge referee? Typically neither teachers nor parents are taught how to manage conflicts between children. Tune in now and get some solid, tested guidance on what to do when children are ready to rumble.
2012 Carol will be presenting a mini series (on three consecutive Wednesday evenings) with Mid Hudson AEYC in March in Dutchess, Ulster and Orange County. Carol will be doing a story telling workshop at the Family Child Care Network of the Hudson Valley Conference on March 31st. Carol will be at the NYSAEYC conference in April in Buffalo NY. She will also be presening at the annual SUNY child care conference in Saratoga Springs in June. Details about all these events will be posted soon.
Carol's article, Creating A Culture that Acknowledges the Power of Language, will be published in the January 2012 issue of Child Care Information Exchange.
Carol is working with professional story teller, Lorraine Hartin Gelardi. Lorraine and Carol are collaborating with early childhood teachers to develop a culture of storytelling with early childhood educators and families at DCC Day Care Center.
Carol is working with DCC Staff and Families to develop an outdoor music center on the campus playground thanks to a mini grant awarded by NYSAEYC.
